This is the nearest surf spot on the Caribbean coast to San Jose.
Playa Bonita is a beautiful bay north of Limon. The wave breaks over a reef on the north of the beach. This left is not very consistent. The wave often is close out and breaks over a shallow reef. The waves are best during the dry season. Most of the surfers here are locals.
