Playa Carrillo Surf Spot Guide

Playa Carrillo is located south of Playa Samara.

It is a beautiful beach and the palm trees offer a lot of shade. There are no buildings close to the beach, the few hotels are located on the other side of the road in the lush green hills behind the beach. The waves are usually not worth it to come here for surfing. The bay is well protected to swell, so often there are no surfable waves at all.

The swell has to come from the North and Northwest. Like at all the other beaches in Guanacaste the best time of the year to catch waves at this spot is from December till March
